CDQ is a Nigerian rapper who has been in the rap game for decades.
He was born May 6, 1985. attended the University of Lagos and after obtaining a certificate in 2001 , he got into music. In 2002 and lin the same.year.he had his bebut concert in school with alot of stars in attendace including the like of late Baracko grin also Dagrin , Jesse Jagz, M.I, Dj Jimmy Jatt and Wizkid . The concert was a huge success and from that point people began to know him in his school and around his neighbourhood,. CDQ won a rap battle at the industry night in December, 2012 in Lagos . That was when his boost into mainstream music started, CDQ officially became the favorite of many rap lovers in Nigeria .
Just a few months after inking his name in the Nigerian book of gifted rappers , he caught the attention of Mastercraft who signed him to his Record Label ‘General records’. Since then he has done alot of songs and as also featured alot of stars including Wizkid , M.I and many more .
CDQ released his debut single at ‘General records’ titled “SUALA” just few days after being signed to the label . The Song was also produced by his mentor Masterkraft and it was massively accepted while it also enjoyed constant airplay on radio and tv stations .
CDQ has since then released many hit tracks like WOBI , BIZNESS featuring his mentor Masterkraft, OLOWO, AMEN to hype the#BRINGBACKOURGIRLS# campaign and his newest song is OGONI where he brought Runtown to the high table .
CDQ songs include Woss Wobi, Talasobee,Salaro, Ogoni and he has been featured in songs like 69 Missed Calls, Indomie . Four artiste did the 69 Missed Calls songs and they are CDQ, Reminisce, Chinko Ekun, Olamide and Lkil Kesh . While the Indomie song was done by three artiste and they are CDQ, Olamide and Mastercraft .
