Mandy is arguably the first female standup comedian in Africa. Having found her way into the entertainment industry in 1992, via the Charly Boy Show, a one-time popular television programme, Mandy stayed on until the first opportunity of performing as a stand-up comedian came her way. Even with the discouragement mounting by the day, Mandy stayed the course, such that today, she is regarded as the pathfinder among the tribe of female comedians in Africa. She recieved the prestigious award of Best Comedy at the Kalasha Awards in 2011.
Mandy, Uzonitsha is a Political Science graduate of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka is mother to two girls-one biological and adopted. She performed at “Pablo & The Continental Comedian”, a monthly international comedy show that features top-notch comedians from Africa,
